Given they only showed 1/3 of the match, and even a lot of that didn't seem to be flowing, this was probably quite the disappointment. I'm not really sure what happened here, but it was like they couldn't decide what they wanted to do or how to work with each other. I thought Maekawa would be the odd woman out in a big spectacular action match, but they did a lot of her style in what we saw of the early portion, or rather she threw kicks & the opponent took them because she was dominating & wasn't selling much. Her execution was good, but I was hoping for some more interaction. Azumi was the only one I'd say was good, she turned it on in the 2nd half of what we saw, and delivered some smooth action. Hamada did some good things, particularly with Azumi, but wasn't always on point with her timing & execution. Toyota was pretty much invisible, doing little of note or interest.

Kumiko Maekawa vs. Command Bolshoi. The best of the segments because Bolshoi understands martial arts, and Maekawa had to respect that & sell for her. Bolshoi was too quick for Maekawa, striking first & fast then evading Maekawa's counterfire.
