Natsuki*Taiyo vs Ayako Sato 12:54. A quality U.W.F. style bout that was about positioning and countering on the canvas. It was fairly intense with some heated exchanges, good sweeps and reversals. Sato had the takedowns and was controlling positioning, but Taiyo would counter her. Taiyo normally stands out due to being as speedy as any woman, but minus her offense that's built around running and jumping, she did no less than show herself to be a fine technical wrestler. Sato wasn't fancy, but she knew what she was doing. I felt like the ending worked as a shoot, but was disappointing because they were really doing credible pro style, so there may as well have been some build and drama. **1/2

Esui vs Mika 8:09
AKINO vs Kyoko Kimura 12:09. The first rule of shooting is if you don't take yourself seriously, then I'm not going to take you seriously. These girls kept trying to be cute by inserting their pro wrestling moves and personality into the match, but it just negated the majority of what they were doing & wasn't all that good either because Kimura is robotic and deliberate. She kept moving away from AKINO's kicks to sell the impact before AKINO would even connect. AKINO can do this style with the best of them, but doing corner charges and face scrapes in between rolling into submissions isn't reminding anyone of the halcyon days of Yoshida's ARSION. While I've never been a fan of Kimura's pro style work, this was disappointing because her 2007 Battlarts matches were at least serious matches that were almost a complete departure from what she'd do in WAVE or IR. *
Chihiro Oikawa vs Kana 12:04. Mostly submission grappling with a kicking/open hand striking sequence toward the finish. The most realistic aspect of the match, the thing you rarely see in works, is the hesitancy to stand in the pocket they displayed early on. They were tentative in the good way, showing it mattered if the other one hit them. There was minimal ground striking, with very quick position advancement if not out and out submission attempts. They worked well together on the mat from the submission exhibition standpoint, but it was never what you'd call believable. It may not have been anything special as a main event, but young Oikawa was extremely impressive here. Just 4 months into her career, she was at worst Kana's equal in this style and match. **
