Meiko Satomura vs. Miyu Yamashita 10:47. Yamashita stood up to Satomura & made her work hard to beat her. Satomura would have runs, but Yamashita would make a nice counter & then take it to her with her own kicks. Yamashita was badass, fighting like she believed in herself & wasn't at all in awe of Satomura. It was a short match & Yamashita wasn't coming close to winning or anything, but she showed she belonged in the ring with Meiko & the match was good for what it was.

Maho Kurone & Rika Tatsumi & Shiro Koshinaka vs. Yukio Saint Laurent (Yukio Sakaguchi) & Martha & Saki-sama 10:36

TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title Match: Yuka Sakazaki vs. Reika Saiki 14:13. Saiki is a "muscle idol" who started training kickboxing at the K-1 dojo for diet purposes & after being a ring girl for KRUSH had 2 amateur kickboxing fights before shifting her focus to pro wrestling, which she was also training in the W-1 dojo. She's showed tremendous potential is learning very quickly. In this 40th match of her pro career here, she's already captured TJP's top title. Granted, this isn't exactly winning the Zenjo red belt, but mainly what's held her back, if that can be said of a wrestler who has been a pro less than a year & a half, is the light schedule & lack of quality opponents in TJP that can push her or help her develop her style. Sakazaki is no slouch though, in fact she's the best worker in the league. She was not only able to carry Saiki, but to take her to the next level. Sakazaki doesn't have as much star potential or probably even as much in ring upside as Saiki, who is just an all around good athlete who has been doing some sort of physical training all her life & will hopefully keep building upon her foundation as she gains experience, but she's a really quick & athletic little girl who would excel as a High Speed champ. She has some charisma & diversity as well, also working as the masked luchador Mil Clown and training with current DEEP Bantamweight champion Takafumi Otsuka. Sakazaki ha a much better idea of what's she's trying to be in the ring than Saiki does right now. She kept things simple enough here that the sequences & counters came off while still predominantly utilizing their athleticism to keep things entertaining. I'm not going to say this match was anything amazing from a worldwide wrestling perspective, but it a match of the year for TJP, which is to say a very competent match between two up & comers that was always at least decent & consistently got better. It was on the short side & didn't have any amazing finish for a title change, as one of Saiki's weaknesses is every match is just the shining wizard & jackhammer because that's her arsenal. ***

TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title Match: Reika Saiki vs. Mizuki 14:36. Saiki had to carry this because Mizuki is an idol who has no more than the basics, and it was rough going as Mizuki was very slow & deliberate in her transitions. Mostly mat/technical wrestling with some athleticism interspersed & Saiki's couple big moves at the end.

TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title Match: Reika Saiki vs. Rika Tatsumi 15:27. This followed the same formula as the previous title defense against Mizuki, but worked a lot better because it had focus - Tatsumi worked the leg & Saiki the arm - and also because Tatsumi is a much more competent opponent so the transitions between the athletic moves & the mat wrestling were much quicker & smoother.

DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title & TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title #1 Contendership Match: Yuu vs. Miyu Yamashita 13:00. A real big girl match for TJP with Yuu being one of the few non idols, putting her power wrestling & judo/MMA offense against Yamashita's kicks. Yuu does a good job here, while Yamashita is decent but rather deliberate on her kicks & seems to be spending most of her effort on doing forms rather than putting a lot behind them.

TOKYO Princess Tag Team Title Match: Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki vs. Nonoko & Yuna Manase 17:02. Big vs. small match that had it's moments mostly due to Sakazaki. Pretty much everything of interest came from her & Nakajima, who had some decent teamwork, but the match was a lot better when Manase was in because she can bump a little.

Mizuki vs. Yuka Sakazaki 15:00. A real pleasant surprise that was considerably better than Mizuki's title challenge against Saiki. Sakazaki is the best worker in the league, and really gave a strong performance here. Although lucha is her base, probably because she's so used to working with wrestlers who aren't that capable, she's taylored her style toward finding ways to keep things moving & entertaining without requiring too much from the opponent. The action was somewhat deliberate due to Mizuki, who also didn't show a lot of diversity, but she was much more comfortable running & throwing a dropkick than she was trying to make grappling transitions against Saiki. That being said, even though Sakazaki kept going back to the mat trying to finish Mizuki off, Mizuki did passably, though admittedly this was matwork of the Shibata doing all the work & Okada just laying there not actually having any answers variety. The effort here was really good, and even though it sometimes resembled an AJW rookie match with Mizuki doing the most basic athletic offense plus a couple high spots, Sakazaki did enough good things to make up for that. Sakazaki was in control most of the way, but Mizuki escaped with a draw.

Azusa Christie & Saki-sama vs. Marika Kobashi & Shoko Nakajima 14:06

Maho Kurone & Reika Saiki vs. Miyu Yamashita & Nodoka-Oneesan 16:01. Saiki did a lot more kicking in this match to match Yamashita. Though I'm not more thrilled by flatfooted middle kick exchanges than the usual elbows or whatever, there were moments where they weren't just standing around like a dunce waiting for the other to hit them that were good, and even the lame stuff had some intensity. The early portion was puzzling since the point should be to build Yamashita up for her title match & she was instead putting over the zombie when that should have been Nodoka's role. The match picked up pretty well in the 2nd half & even though no belts were on the line, had more juice than you normally get from this league in terms of feeling like a match of some significance.
