Osaka Pro Tag Title Match: Hideyoshi & Masamune vs. Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada 18:48 of 20:53. The future of Osaka Pro did their best to turn the show around and make sure the fans got their money's worth. They all gave their best effort from start to finish. It began stiff, but got fast paced and athletic quick. They did a nice job of countering each other back and forth, being both unpredictable and creative. The match had the look of a 12-15 minute match, but they just kept going. Although none of these guys were wrestling in Osaka Pro before April 2005 (Masamune did start in Mexico), Sengoku quickly rose to the top, winning the tag titles within 3 months, and being in the midst of their 3rd run here. Kotoge & Harada, on the other hand, have slowly creeped up the ranks, but tonight was their night to finally come good and start a new chapter as two of Osaka Pro's brightest stars and most sought after exports. ***1/2

Osaka Pro Singles Title No DQ Match: Dick Togo vs. Billiken Kid 24:03 of 33:33. I've been extremely disappointed with this program, as it should have been the best thing in Osaka Pro in ages, but has merely been good with Togo wrestling at a moderate pace without any intensity and Billy doing a slowed down, conservative style that's nearly bereft of flying. Billy and Dick really rose to the occasion tonight though, not merely doing the match they were capable of, but doing a match that may well have surpassed Togo vs. Super Delfin 1/4/00 as the greatest match in the history of the company. It was an epic story match that also happened to be wrestled as a sprint, perhaps they weren't dashing around from start to finish but they kept a high workrate and the intensity and ferocity were always noticable. Togo kept the pressure on throughout, heeling it up in a major way but still having more entertaining offense than most faces, and Billy made the most of his sporadic comebacks with glamorous highspots. The no DQ stipulation really put Billy at a disadvantage, as Togo could brawl on the outside as much as he wanted, had free reign to rip Billy's mask, and could get by with a little help from his friends. Togo blitzed Billy, and had Billy playing from behind the entire match, desperately trying to dig himself out of a big whole against a relentless juggernaut who just kept on coming. Togo was always mixing his offense in to his ass kicking to keep the match from lagging, including a senton atomico off the ramp after stomping Billy off. Billy finally made a comeback, busting Togo open by catapulting him into the post when when Dick ran the apron then following with a tope con hilo. Togo was working on Billy's mask whenever he had a chance, untying it, ripping it, and finally yanking the whole thing off after stopping a tope with a chair, which turned Billy into a towelhead who couldn't really defend himself because he had to use his hands to protect his identity. Finally, Billy's friends got him a new mask, which seemed to rejuvenate him and allow the momentum to begin to shift into his favor. The seconds began to struggle more on the outside as Togo's minions became restless as they started to doubt. Billy's friends reverse bearhugging them was the only thing that prevented interference. Buffalo got through once late, but his chair shot backfired and Billy soon hit his firebird splash to reclaim the title from the DDT invader. ****1/4

Osaka Pro Owari & World's #1 Title Match: Kikutaro vs. Kuishinbo Kamen 12:44

Osaka Pro Title Match: Billiken Kid vs. Daisuke Harada 24:44. Fresh off his big tag title win at hurricane 2010, the Young Master gets his first shot at Osaka Pro's biggest prize. The two friends did a solid, well built technical match. It started slower, but they did a nice job of incorporating the timely big spot, and selling it to make it meaningful. Harada caught a charging Billy with a front suplex onto the apron then slung himself over the top for a footstomp. The match picked up in the second half when Harada made a big run, using a series of suplexes and breakers. There were a few moves that were unconvincingly executed, but overall it was quite a well done match. Harada brought more or less all he had, while Billy gave the sort of nice B level effort he's been giving the last few years in the bigger non Hurricane matches. ***1/4

Osaka Pro Tag Title Match: Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii vs. Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada 19:57 of 23:22. The effort was there, but it took a while for the chemistry to click. They executed well from the beginning, but it was you do your offense and I'll do mine. Kotoge & Harada's active style seemed to force them to get the counters and timing together. Those two and Mochizuki seemingly ran at least a mile, but Fujii did his best to stand in the same spot and not do any maneuver that was invented after he was born. He was totally out of place in this match, and though he may not have technically did anything wrong, pretty much useless as Mochizuki wound up doing the majority of the selling for their side as well. There wasn't too much amazing even when Mochizuki was in, but it was generally quality stuff. My favorite sequence saw Mochizuki counter Kotoge's avalanche style move with a running powerbomb, but Kotoge turned it into a huracanrana, except Mochizuki rolled through for a near fall. Kotoge & Harada only got 1 win in NOAH's NTV Jr Tag League, but redeemed themselves here by regaining the Osaka Pro titles from the Dragon Gate duo. **3/4
