Hardcore 6 Man Tag Match: Daikokubo Benkei & Ryuji Ito & Naoki Numazawa vs. Asian Coogar & Kintaro Kanemura & Saburo Inematsu

Death Match Heavyweight Title, Florescent Bulb & Light Tube Death Match: Abdullah Kobayashi vs. Takashi Sasaki 21:34. I give it a 10 on the sickness scale. In fact, this was most definitely the single most disgusting match I've ever seen. The ring was so litered with shards of glass that they got 5 new cuts from taking even the slightest bump, but there was nothing minor in this match. It was so ridiculously overdone. Kobayashi acted as though he were impervious to pain, punching the bulbs in frustration, eating them and then spitting pieces at Sasaki or holding them in his mouth and cutting Sasaki with them. The main problem is it wasn't really a wrestling match, it was just breaking bulbs from start to finish. They didn't build to the breakings, they didn't sell them, most of the time they didn't do anything else but pick a bulb up and clobber each other with it. They broke more light bulbs over each other than are in use on my entire road, and that was just in the first 5 minutes! They did some wrestling moves, but pretty much nothing else that really constitutes wrestling occurred. I liked Sasaki flurrying with kicks then holding a bulb to Kobayashi and breaking it with a kick, then doing the same with a light tube, but they did this same trick over and over with Kobayashi even doing it with a headbutt, so it got old almost as fast as the light tubes. It was so repetitive, it seemed even more unpleasant than it was. Sasaki did show some ability to at least do some legitimate offense with crisp kicks, a nice missile kick, etc., but Kobayashi has never been a wrestler, and all he wanted to do was bleed. By the end of the match, both men probably needed to be mummified in order to cover all their wounds. Kobayashi did a blockbuster off the 2nd through some light tubes. The ultimate sicko spot saw Kobayashi do his koba driver onto a pile of kanzan, with two of the little spikey metal clusters getting stuck in Sasaaki's body and two in his head. One penetrated dangerously deep, I mean it was like getting a series of nails pounded in, and he just kept wrestling with it mounted in his skull until the match ended. I wanted to feel sorry for Sasaki, but they didn't give me any reason to care. In fact, it was one of those matches where they almost seemed to want you to root for them to take yet another, yet an even more dangerous and insane bump. If you just want to see gimmick spots and really sick gore this is a sort of classic, but if you are looking for anything else all you'll find here is detestable spectacle. **
