Jinsei Shinzaki & Chinnen Hokkai vs. Bob Sapp & Tsubo Genjin. 17:36

Minoru Fujita vs. Ikuto Hidaka. 30:00. These two partners pulled out all the stops to have a classic match. It's one of the best examples of doing a draw that never appears to be a draw. It looked like it was going to be a standard length match, as they began doing high quality moves and selling heavily about 12 minutes in, putting over the near finishes. The selling was great. They not only sold every hold, but as the match progressed, both men were often selling between holds All Japan style. The match itself is difficult to describe because they are capable of doing everything, and just went wherever the position took them. One minute they are doing really good technical work, the next they are bashing each other with a chair, which led to double juice. They left nothing in the bag, and everything was well executed. It wasn't a credible match stylistically, but they made me believe they were weary and just going on heart and guts, which is by far the more important illusion. ****1/4

Dick Togo & MEN's Teio & Shiryu & TAKA Michinoku & Hanzo Nakajima vs. Jinsei Shinzaki & Hayate & Kesen Numa-jiro & Kazuya Yuasa & Chinnen Hokkai. 17:49

Super Delfin vs. The Great Sasuke. 20:51. A nice match, but by no means an awesome one. I was disappointed by the lack of well developed sequences. It wasn't really lucha oriented, although that wasn't a huge surprise. It was more their typical match with Delfin having all the offense because Sasuke just sells and flies. You could tell from the outset that good Delfin showed up, as he was dashing across the ropes and showing remarkable quickness.Sasuke waited a long time to engage Delfin then walked off to the back after Delfin schooled him with one hot sequence, bringing back a ladder. Sasuke didn't try to use the ladder, just left it on the runway for later. Sasuke did a great job of selling his arm, whether Delfin was attacking it or not, mostly the later as Delfin was primarily concerned with hitting his Osaka Rinkai upper. Sasuke kept avoiding it and making a brief comeback. He did a neat no touch tope atomico onto the ramp, but then brought the ladder in and set Delfin on top of it. Sasuke never had a lengthy advantage, so it was just crash and burn time, and the gamble backfired totally with Delfin avoiding the senton atomico. Delfin was now able to hit the Osaka Rinkai upper, and a bunch of other finishers to get the win. ***1/2
