4/8:

What I get out of the Chikako Shiratori retirement statement on her web site is that she made it 10 years without a major injury even though her no fat body composition isn't made for withstanding a lot of punishment, so she decided to quit while she's ahead. She's still be talent (this seems to be their main imported word for people who are in front of a camera regardless of whether they posess any) and is interested in being a sports commentator.

3/25:

In crushing news to me, The Chikako Shiratori debut 10th anniversary memorial show on 6/8 at Tokyo Differ Ariake has turned into the Chikako Shiratori retirement memorial performance.

Delfin & Mandora surprisingly beat Liger & Samurai when Delfin pinned Samurai at 19:19.

The Goddess Shiratori successfully defended the CMLL Sekai Joshi Senshuken, pinning Policewo~men in her Dragon suplex hold at 12:44.

12/30:

1/7 at Osaka Rinkai Sports Center has an Osaka Puroresu vs. NJ match of Delfin & his mystery partner Z Mandora (disappointing that the mystery partner is a designated jobber) vs. Liger & Samurai and Shiratori defending the CMLL Sekai Joshi Senshuken against Policewo~men.

12/7:

Takehiro Murahama will face Royler Gracie in a shoot as the main event of the DEEP show called DEEP 2,001 on 1/8/01 at Nagoya Aichi-ken Taiikukan. Rickson will be Royler's second. I can't see Murahama winning this one, but he's got everything to gain and nothing to lose.

5/7:

5/7 Tokyo Ota-ku Taiikukan 2.394
Osaka Puroresu ran their biggest show ever to commemorate the first anniversary of their debut in Tokyo (their first ever show was 4/29/99 at the Osaka Namihaya Dome), drawing an announced crowd of less than half capacity. Considering they usually draw 250 in Osaka, this number may not be as bad as it sounds.
Takehiro Murahama beat Super Delfin to capture the Osaka Puroresu Oza Senshuken. Murahama had the advantage here because it was a rounds style martial arts match and he's a shootboxer/kickboxer who does worked matches of that style against pro wrestlers on Osaka Puroresu shows. Murahama won when he KO'd Delfin at 2:05 of round 3.
Dick Togo & Black Buffalo & Daio QUALLT beat Masato Yakushiji & Naohiro Hoshikawa & Super Demekin when Togo pinned Demekin at 15:58.
Kuishinbou Kamen beat Ebessan at 10:53. Kamen may be the most entertaining comedy wrestler to watch because he is a pretty good wrestler as uses one of the premier flying moves, the tornado, as his finisher.

3/25:

3/25 Osaka NGK Studio 300 sellout
Naohiro Hoshikawa once again failing to beat former kickboxer Takehiro Murayama in a martial arts match. Hoshikawa did last until the 5th round before Murayama TKO'd him at 1:29 with a left high kick. Their first match on 1/4 was a pretty exciting work, but Murayama was pulling some of his strikes too much, particularly at the finish.

3/23:

3/23 Yamaguchi Kaikyo Messe Shimozeki 966 sellout
Masato Yakushiji & Naohiro Hoshikawa made their third successful defense of the CMLL JAPAN Tag Senshuken, beating LOV members Daio QUALLT & Police Me~n when Hoshikawa made Police submit to his ryusei (meteor) lock at 16:22.
The Goddess Chikako Shiratori made her third successful defense of the CMLL Japan Sekai Joshi Senshuken, pinning Yuki Miyazaki in her Dragon suplex hold at 12:29.
In the main event, Dick Togo & Black Buffalo & Azteca beat Super Delfin & Tsubasa & Super Demekin at 12:25 when Togo gave Demekin his diving senton.

3/9:

Super Delfin will make his first defense of the Osaka Puroresu title against Tsubasa on 4/8 at Kobe Fashion Mart. The title was created on 1/4/00 when Delfin beat Dick Togo in an excellent match.

3/6:

The Goddess Chikako Shiratori will defend the CMLL Sekai Joshi Senshuken on 3/23 against Yuki Miyazaki. This should easily be her best title defense to date, although that certainly isn't high praise.
There will be a mixed tag match on 3/24 at Okayama Budokan with the super team of Super Delfin & Super Demekin and Shiratori under a hood (what a waste) as Super CHIKAKO against Kuishinbou Kamen & Ebessan & Yuki Miyazaki

2/20:

2/20 Osaka Nanbo Grand Kagetsu NGK Studio 380 sellout
Masato Yakushiji & Naohiro Hoshikawa made their second successful defense of the CMLL JAPAN Tag Senshuken, beating Kuishinbou Kamen & Ebissan when Yakushiji used his game of death on Kamen at 16:22.

2/6:

2/6 Tokyo Big Side Tokusatsu (special installation) 3,000 sellout
In a match billed as Highspot 6 Man Tag Match ~Osaka Paradise~ Super Delfin & Naohiro Hoshikawa & Tsubasa beat Dick Togo & Black Buffalo & Policeme~n when Delfin pinned Buffalo at 15:18.
They debuted a new wrestler called Dream Kyasko (?) in the semifinal, but he was KO'd in 48 seconds by Takehiro Murahama.
In a match billed as Mixed Tag Match Bijo (beautiful woman) to Kaiju (monster) Ultra Ace & The Goddess Chikako Shiratori defeated Gokuaku Kaiju (heinous monster) Z Mandra & Pesadilla Roca when Ace used a moonsault attack on Mandra at 15:09.
There must have been some extenuating circumstances here because there's no way this lineup drew 3,000 on it's own.

1/30:

1/30 Osaka Nanbo Grand Kagetsu NGK Studio 400 sellout
Super Delfin & Tsubasa & Super Demekin beat Dick Togo & Black Buffalo & Daio QUALLT when Delfin pinned Buffalo at 15:17 following a DDT onto a duralumin case.

1/29:

1/29 Osaka Nanbo Grand Kagetsu NGK Studio 358 sellout

In a man & woman mixed tag match, Masato Yakushita & The Goddess Chikako Shiratori downed Policeme~n & Yuki Miyazaki when Yakushiji used Game Of Death on Miyazaki at 16:44.

1/4/00:

1/4 Osaka Namihaya Dome Sub Arena 1,705 sellout (either a really small configuration or they are full of it)
Super Delfin became the first Osaka Puroresu champion, taking out Dick Togo with his Osaka Rinkai upper at 21:04.
Naohiro Hoshikawa to former K-1 Phasekyu champion Takehiro Murahama in match billed as Ishu Kakutogisen (this means something like a different kind of hand to hand fighting, basically a martial arts match). Murahama scored a TKO at 1:38 of round 3.
Dynamite Kansai made short work of The Goddess, pinning Chikako Shiratori in her splash mountain at 8:10. Undoubtedly, this was the waste I expected it to be.

12/13/99:

Osaka Puroresu is running their biggest show on 1/4/00 at the Osaka Namihaya Dome Sub Arena. The main event is a battle of their top stars, Super Delfin vs. Dick Togo. These two had an infamous match in Michinoku Puroresu on 6/22/97 where Dickmania was running wild and he gave Delfin such a beating that rather than continue to get pounded, Delfin dishonored himself by crawling Togo's legs to surrender.
The semifinal is the very underrated Naohiro Hoshikawa against Takehiro Murahama in an Ishu Kakutogisen (this means something like a different kind of hand to hand fighting, basically a martial arts match). In 1997, Murahama was the Phasekyu champion in K-1.
The women's match, which always features The Goddess, will be by far Shiratori's toughest Osaka Puroresu match to date as she gets to get punted by JWP's Dynamite Kansai. Shiratori worked in JWP as a free agent from 9/6/98-4/13/99, but they never attempted to do anything with her and killed off any chance she had of being their idol wrestler or getting heel heat by never letting her beat the retiring Cuty Suzuki. As far as I can tell this is her first singles match against Kansai. Chikako has exactly no chance of winning, so it's hard to understand the point of this match since they actually push her and she is their (CMLL) women's champion. If Kansai would at least put her over some then it would help, but she hasn't put any effort into putting over much more talented wrestlers in her own league, so it's doubtful she'll start doing it here.
