Kaori Nakayama beat Mr. Gannosuke by DQ in 2:17 when H got involved. Gannosuke's knee was injured on 5/13 and he was supposed to take a month off so it could heal completely, but he's wrestling anyway. Even wrestling this little bit with the injury was pushing it.
In the main event, H & Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Hisakatsu Oha defeated Kodo Fuyuki & Kyoko Inoue & Chocoball Mukai when H pinned Mukai at 17:55.

The 5/28 Tokyo Korakuen Hall show will feature a 3 Way Dance between H, Masato Tanaka, & Tetsuhiro Kuroda to decide who will get the first shot at taking the WEW Single Senshuken from Kodo Fuyuki.

He pushed away President Shoichi Arai. On the previous day, he sent a letter to his old partner Jinsei Shinzaki requesting a reformation of their team and his presence at the big show on 5/5.

Supposedly 10,000 fans have voted on an internet poll that they don't want Kodo Fuyuki to retire, and very few have said he should retire. In other words, his retirement may not even last as long as his banishment. Remember the days when you could be proud of Japanese wrestling because they actually adhered to their stipulations?

FMW beat ECW-J in the 7 vs. 7 elimination tournament when H ended Kodo Fuyuki's career by pinning him in the Gannosuke clutch at 6:26. H was the big hero here, attoning for yesterday's loss by beating 3-1 odds to allow FMW to split the series with ECW-J. Fuyuki gave a retirement speech after the match. He cried in the waiting room and said, "I do bye bye in Komzawa." Fuyuki debuted on 5/4/80, so his Sayonara Match on 5/5 will be one day after the 20th anniversary of his debut and 6 days before his 40th birthday. Supposedly Fuyuki was going to retire when he turned 40 anyway, which is why he was willing to put his career on the line on the Sapporo double shot. I hope we've seen the last of him as an active "performer," but considering how long his banishment from FMW lasted, I highly doubt it.

ECW-J won the singles series over FMW 4-3 when Kodo Fuyuki lariated H in the 7th match at 13:39 to extend his career at least one more day. H destroyed Fuyuki's left knee and used his firebird splash, but couldn't get the three count. This lead to a woman that was supposed to be a huge, enthusiastic fan of Chocoball Mukai asking H for a kiss. It turned out to be a ploy to sucker him over so she could attack him with her high heel shoe, which gave Fuyuki the opening to come back and beat H.
The series began with FMW's Willie Takayama making Crazy Boy submit to a gyakuebigatame (Boston crab) at 5:51.
ECW-J's Masato Tanaka then beat Jado with his Diamond dust at 12:49.
FMW's Koji Nakagawa pinned Chocoball Mukai in a jackknife hold at 7:19.
ECW-J's Balls Mahoney tied the series at 2 when he used his nutcracker suite on Kintaro Kanemura.

In a real original angle, Kodo Fuyuki announced that he would retire on the 5/5 Komazawa rally if he's defeated by FMW even once during the big ECW-J vs. FMW series on 4/3-4 at Hokkaido Zepp Sapporo. The 4/3 has 7 ECW-J vs. FMW singles matches, hihglighted by Fuyuki vs. H and Tetsuhiro Kuroda vs. Kyoko Inoue. The 4/4 show has Fuyuki & Kyoko & Balls Mahoney & Tracey Smothers & Crazy Boy & Chocoball Mukai & Masato Tanaka vs. H & Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Hisakatsu Oya & Kintaro Kanemura & Koji Nakagawa & Jado in a 7 vs. 7 tournament (?) Fuyuki is still pissed that Tanaka betrayed him, but these matches were previously scheduled so they have to try to get along for the moment if they want to beat FMW.

Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Kintaro Kanemura beat Masato Tanaka & Tracey Smothers when Kuroda used his lariat on Smothers at 12:56. I don't understand the logic of of Tanaka's group losing their first match to FMW when Fuyuki's ECW-J ran over them in almost every match for a tour plus.

3/27 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 2,150 sellout
The match between Tetsuhiro Kuroda and Kodo Fuyuki was ruled a no-contest at 15:51 when their cronies ran in and had a little brawl. Masato Tanaka came in and hit H, but he betrayed fellow ECW-J member Fuyuki by elbowing him. The group will split into two with Fuyuki retaining the natives that regularly fight in FMW like Kyoko Inoue, while former ECW Heavyweight champion Tanaka will get the gaijins like Tracey Smothers. This was a horrible finish that Fuyuki, of course, imported from America, but at least it served the purpose of realigning the troops.
In a special match, "Superstar" H pinned Kyoko Inoue with his firebird splash at 13:15.
In the opening match, Koji Nakagawa & Jado & Gedo retained the WEW 6 Man Tag Senshuken, defeating H & Yoshinori Sasaki & Naohiro Yamazaki when Gedo pinned Yamazaki at 15:55 after a "Western familiat"

Kyoko Inoue became the first woman in Japan to hold a man's title when she teamed with Kodo Fuyuki to capture the WEW Tag Senshuken from H & Mr. Gannosuke. AV actor Chocoball Mukai made his unexpected return, helping Kyoko out including a nadare shiki no brainbuster to rescue Kyoko from Gannosuke. Kyoko took a beating, but came back with a kick to the "vital part" and was able to tag. The finish came at 14:30 when Fuyuki made Gannosuke submit to his Samson clutch. Fuyuki & Kyoko are the 4th champs. Mukai is now with ECW-J, and there's some angle about him wanting to receive training in America. There's also an angle that Fuyuki & Kyoko are having sex. Fuyuki is trying to get a hold of all the WEW titles, so he's challenging Kuroda for the WEW Single Senshuken on 3/27 at Tokyo Korakuen Hall.
Tetsuhiro Kuroda made his first successful defense of the WEW Single Senshuken, pinning Willie Takayama in 10:47 after his lariat. Takayama was a weak challenger, but the main event was the draw so it was a good time to have Kuroda defend against a lesser wrestler, although that doesn't mean I think Takayama did anything to warrant being the one to get the shot.
Koji Nakagawa & Gedo won a 4 Way Dance Tag Battle over Kintaro Kanemura & Jado, Hisakatsu Oya & Naohiko Yamazaki, & Hideki Hosaka & Yoshinori Sasaki to earn the right to challenge for the WEW Tag Senshuken. Jado was responsible for eliminating the first two teams with the Sakurabajime (some kind of a Kazushi Sakuraba choke). He took out Yamazaki at 12:30 and Sasaki at 15:26. However, Nakagawa pinned Jado at 20:31 in a jackknife hold to earn the title shot.

Kodo Fuyuki & Kyoko Inoue & Balls Mahoney beat H & Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Lance Cade in a Hardcore Rule Match when Mahoney used his nutcracker suite on Cade at 15:25. This is something like the 7th consecutive main event victory for ECW-J over FMW.
Mr. Gannosuke & Hisakatsu Oya defeated Kintaro Kanemura & Jado when Oya backdropped Kanemura at 12:47.

1/16 Shiga Ishibe Machi Uzan Bunka Undo Koen Taiikukan 1,700 sellout
ECW Japan continued their domination of FMW with Kodo Fuyuki & Kyoko Inoue & Balls Mahoney & Pitbull 1 beating H & Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuro & Hisakatsu Oya in a Hardcore Rule Match at 15:35 when Balls used his nutcracker suite on Oya. The finish came after Kyoko gave Oya a "vital part" kick, which unfortunately seems to becoming one of the deadliest moves in her repetiore now that she's wrestling men most of the time.
Masato Tanaka beat Jado at 18:21 by disqualification when Team No Respect ran in.These top two results are almost identical the the 1/10 show, the only real difference is H & Gannosuke had better partners.
Yoshiko Tamura made Kaori Nakayama submit to an ura 4 no gatame (reverse figure 4) at 13:13.

Kodo Fuyuki & Kyoko Inoue & Balls Mahoney beat H & Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda at 12:162 when Balls used his nutcracker suite on champion Kuroda. Not surprisingly, all these wins over H & Gannosuke has resulted in Fuyuki & Kyoko earning a shot at the WEW tag titles on 2/25 at Tokyo Korkauen Hall.

Yoshiko Tamura pinned Kaori Nakayama in her reverse doublewrist armsault at at 9:55.

Masato Tanaka beat Koji Nakagawa at 5:17 by disqualification when Team No Respect ran in.
Misae Genki dropped Kaori Nakayama with her Gdriver at 7:54.

Kodo Fuyuki & Kyoko Inoue defeated current WEW tag champions H & Mr. Gannosuke in a Hardcore Rule match when Kyoko lariated H at 10:12. The pin over H goes a long way toward making up for Kyoko's previous losses to male wrestler Fuyuki and whatever sex that Parinya thing is supposed to be. It seems to affirm that Kyoko will be a major player in FMW, as her first win came over the highest ranked wrestler she's been facing in the ECW-J vs. FMW feud. It wasn't a totally clean win, as Balls Mahoney was interfering, including causing H to bleed. After the match, Fuyuki challenged H & Gannosuke to a tag title match.
In the semifinal, Masato Tanaka defeated Pitbull 1 at 15:12 with his roaring elbow.
Balls Mahoney beat Kintaro Kanemura in 14:00 with the Balls driver.

1/7 Fukushima Haramachi Shi Taiikukan 1,050
ECW Japan was once again triumphant. In the main event, Kodo Fuyuki & Balls Mahoney & Pitbull 1 beat H & Mr. Gannosuke & Hisakatsu Oya when Balls pinned Oya with a move called the Balls driver at 13:00. Earlier in the show, Kyoko Inoue made short work of Kaori Nakayama, lariating her in 7:57.

1/5 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 2,150 sellout
ECW Japan fought their first battle against "rival" FMW. The best Kodo Fuyuki could come up with for his ECW Japan group was Balls Mahoney, Kyoko Inoue (who obviously has nothing to do with ECW), and Pitbull 1, you know, the sucky one that II and their opponents had to attempt to carry. This motley crew beat H & Mr. Gannosuke & Hisakatsu Oya & Ricky Fuji when Fuyuki lariated Fuji at 14:36. Kyoko was in on the finish as well, also lariating Fuji.
The main event saw Tetsuhiro Kuroda finally get over the hump, taking Masato Tanaka's WEW Single Senshuken with a lariat at 22:43. This result doesn't thrill me at all, but makes sense in that Tanaka is going back and forth between FMW and ECW too much for it to be practical for him to retain the title. Since Tanaka's first defense was unsuccessful, Kuroda became the 3rd champion.
Great Kojika showed up as expected, bringing Ryuji Yamakawa along with him. This was to set up a Yamakawa vs. Kintaro Kanemura death match on the 2/22 Big Japan show at Tokyo Korakuen Hall. This match has a lot of potential, especially when it comes to sickness.
Hideki Hosaka returned after about a 6 month absence. He teamed with Yoshinori Sasaki & Naohiro Yamazaki to lose to Koji Nakagawa & Jado & Gedo when Jado lariated Yamazaki at 13:00.

Masato Tanaka announced he was leaving FMW. Tanaka, who just won FMW's top title from Kodo Fuyuki on 11/23, is departing because he's dissatisfied with his treatment there. In particular, he's not being treated like the promotions ace, doesn't get enough respect there, and feels Gannosuke gets prefferential treatment. Tanaka is leaving for the US today, along with Kanemura, and will be wrestling for ECW again. He's getting another shot at the ECW Title at their TV taping this Friday, which means Mike Awesome will finally have another very good match. Supposedly he's done with FMW, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be with ECW full time. FMW President Arai doesn't know what to do since his champion just up and left, and some of the wrestlers are saying they are shocked, etc. It all reads like an angle. If it is an angle, I suppose it could result in Tanaka being a member of ECW Japan and feuding with H & Gannosuke. If it isn't, then Misawa better get on the phone...

Emi Motokawa was taken to the hospital in an ambulance after basically jamming her arm on the floor doing a plancha during yesterday's match with Kaori Nakayama. The diagnosis was a dislocated right elbow. Zach Arnold sent along this quote from a fan that attended the 12/12 show, "Someone in my adjoining seat shouted, 'this is dangerous!' Though a camera was nearby, the gong of the bell was struck immediately. The place became silent, as she struck a water bottle and we could only hear the moaning and screaming of Motokawa. It was painful." .

AV actor Chocoball Mukai, who just lost the 6 man tag titles on 12/11, is going back to being a wrestling fan, at least for the moment.

12/12 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 2,150 sellout
FMW finished up their tour with their second consecutive sellout of Korakuen Hall. H & Mr. Gannosuke won the main event over Tetsuhiro Kuroda's team again, although today it wasn't a title match and Masato Tanaka was in Hisakatsu Oya's place. Kuroda did the job today at 24:32 to H's H thunder. ECW lost to FMW again, with the same Kintaro Kanemura over Axl Rotten result except today it was a TNR (Team No Respect) vs. FMW 8-man Street Fight Tag Match where Kanemura teamed with Koji Nakagawa & Jado & Gedo to beat Balls Mahoney & Rotten & TAJIRI & Super Crazy in 13:19. The other shitty do, Hido, now thinks he's some kind of martial artist. He changed his name to Willie (after Willie Williams, who he lost a horrible karate jacket match to on 11/23) Takayama (maybe so Yoshihiro wouldn't be the worst Takayama, but actually it's his real last name) and had a match billed as Puroresu vs. Karate Ishu (different kind, I suppose this could be mixed?) Kakutogisen where he KO'd Naohiro Yamazaki with a high kick at 1:12 of round two. Emi Motokawa vs. Kaori Nakayama was declared an invalid match at 6:24 when Emi injured her right elbow doing a plancha.

12/11 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 2,150 sellout
H & Mr. Gannosuke made their first successful defense of the WEW Tag Senshuken, defeating Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Hisakatsu Oya in the main event when Gannosuke pinned Oya with fire thunder. ECW lost both matches against FMW. The first was Kintaro Kanemura making his second successful defense of the WEW Hardcore Senshuken when he pinned Axl Rotten at 13:48 following a baku YAMA special (senton) to the floor with the ladder. In the semifinal, Masato Tanaka beat Balls Mahoney at 13:34 with a diving chair press. The other match involving ECW was TAJIRI beating Super Crazy in just 7:20 (ECW length) with his Dragon suplex hold. There was a WEW title change on the undercard as Ricky Fuji & Flying Kid Ichihara & Chocoball Mukai lost the 6 man titles they just won on the 11/23 Kanagawa Yokohama Arena show to Koji Nakagawa & Jado & Gedo when Jado pinned Mukai at 9:38. Nakagawa's team are the 4th champions.

In the write up about Fuyuki going to the US, I should have mentioned that FMW has ECW wrestlers Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten, TAJIRI, and Super Crazy booked on their current tour. They start on the 11th at Korakuen, with Balls having a match against Masato Tanaka, who might be the only person that has ever been able to make it interesting to watch Balls, Axl vs. Kintaro Kanemura, & Super Crazy vs. TAJIRI. On the 12/12 Korakuen Hall show, it's Balls & Axl & TAJIRI & Crazy vs. Kanemura & Koji Nakagawa & Jado & Gedo. It seems ridiculous that TAJIRI would be slotted behind Axl Rotten in any country, much less his own.
