The current WWWA tag champions, Tomoko Watanabe & Kumiko Maekawa, defeated Momoe Nakanishi & Nanae Takahashi when Maekawa gave Momoe her kakato otoshi then Watanabe went right into her hell smasher to pin Momoe at 16:13. 5/12: Toyota Defends Title With One Arm

5/12 Hokkaido-ken Sogo Taiiku Center 3,200
Manami Toyota severly injured her shoulder along the way, but sucked it up and managed to make her first successful defense of the WWWA Sekai Single Senshuken when she pinned JWP champion Ran Yu-Yu with her Japanese ocean cyclone suplex hold at 21:35. The accident happened at the 12 minute mark when she missed a step while climbing up to do a dive and crashed down outside the ring onto her left shoulder, possibly separating it but I guess not because she wrestled the next day. She had to fight one armed for the rest of the way, and I'm sure she did it better than Naoya Ogawa, but this probably killed the match since it happened a few minutes after her matches start getting good. Toyota appologized to the fans after the match because she wasn't able to give them her best match. Kaoru Ito & Eagle Sawai are both looking to get title shots.
Tomoko Watanabe & Kumiko Maekawa successfully defended the WWWA Sekai Tag Senshuken against the team they won them from in December, Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda. Watanabe & Maekawa won 2 falls to 1, but no finishers or times were listed.
Dynamite Kansai & Command Bolshoi beat Kaoru Ito & Momoe Nakanishi when Kansai pinned Momoe at 13:36. What happened to Bolshoi being with Hotta's anti cooperation group?
MihoKayo reformed to win the Zen Nihon Tag Senshuken back from the team they lost it to on 7/10/99, Kana Mizaki & Tsubasa Kuragaki, when Wakizawa pinned Tsubasa at 14:46. Kana & Tsubasa were never defending these titles even when Kana was healthy, so at least the belts should be back in circulation again.

5/11:

5/11 Hokkaido Chitose Shi Sports Center
Mima Shimoda & Etsuko Mita beat Yumiko Hotta & Momoe Nakanishi when Mita pinned Momoe at 14:54
Kaoru Ito pinned Takako Inoue at 15:00.
Manami Toyota pinned Miho Wakizawa in her Japanese ocean cyclone suplex at 13:58.

5/6: New Title Challenger Swoops Into AJW

5/6 Kanagawa Kawasaki Shi Taiikukan 2,850
The new unit of Takako Inoue & Eagle Sawai & Rumi Kazama, who are called Black Joker, beat Manami Toyota & Tomoko Watanabe & Miho Wakizawa when Eagle pinned Toyota at 22:31. As usual, LLPW involvement means losses for AJW. Unfortunately, this time it didn't spike the gate because it wasn't Kandori. I'm surprised that Toyota was pinned here, but the idea seems to be for Toyota to defend against Eagle, which would be a new match. It's not a match that I would like to see, but if Toyota beats Eagle in singles in exchange for Eagle pinning her in tag then it would be good. The thing is, with LLPW it would probably be Toyota pins Eagle in singles in exchange for about 10 LLPW wins.
Kaoru Ito pinned Yumiko Hotta at 22:15.
Mima Shimoda & Etsuko Mita beat Momoe Nakanishi & Nanae Takahashi when Mita pinned Momoe at 19:55.
Chaparrita ASARI successfully defended the WWWA Sekai Superlightkyu Senshuken, pinning Miyuki Fujii at 11:15.

5/5:

5/5 Tokyo Korakuen Hall
Manami Toyota beat Yumiko Hotta & Kumiko Maekawa when Toyota pinned Hotta in her Japanese ocean drop at 12:12. JWP Representative Masatoshi Yamamoto had promised that he'd have a new assassin to crush Hotta since she is against AJW & JWP working together, but he came out and said Toyota was going to wrestle alone because her mystery partner was injured. Reggie Bennett came out during the match, but in the angle Kansai didn't realize she was the mystery partner so she came out ready to save Manami thinking Bennett was on Hotta's side. Officially only Toyota is credited for the win, but it wasn't like she beat them singlehandedly.
Momoe Nakanishi & Nanae Takahashi & Miho Wakizawa beat Tsusbasa Kuragaki & Kayoko Haruyama & Acute Sae when Momoe pinned Sae in her Dragon suplex hold at 22:06.
ZAP I & T beat Takako Inoue & Miyuki Fujii when T pinned Fujii at 6:56.

4/23:

4/23 Tokyo Korakuen Hall
Yumiko Hotta & Manami Toyota & Kumiko Maekawa & Nanae Takahashi beat Dynamite Kansai & Ran Yu-Yu & Command Bolshoi & Kayoko Haruyama when Toyota pinned Haruyama in her Japanese ocean cyclone suplex hold at 6:31.
Mima Shimoda & Etsuko Mita defeated Momoe Nakanishi & Kayo Noumi when Shimoda pinned Momoe at 16:19. Momoe was making her return after being out about 4 months with a right ankle injury.

4/20:

Manami Toyota will defend the WWWA Sekai Single Senshuken against JWP champion Ran Yu-Yu on 5/12 at Hokkaido-ken Sogo Taiiku Center. The WWWA Tag and Zen Nihon Tag will also be defended on this show. Since this area was striken by an earthquake, AJW is giving free tickets to 3,000 junior high school students to cheer them up.

4/1:

JWP's 8th Anniversary show on 4/9 at Tokyo Korakuen Hall show will be headlined by a match called The New Dimension 8 Queens Henroku (irregular) 8 Woman Tag Match where the JWP team of Dynamite Kansai & Ran Yu-Yu & Azumi Hyuga & Command Bolshoi face the AJW team of Yumiko Hotta & Kaoru Ito & Nanae Takahashi & Miho Wakizawa. The JWP team should kill the AJW team based on who is involved, but it'll wind up being close. The name of this match is basically the same as the famous 60:00 match from 7/31/93, but I'd think they'd be advertising that it was a 60:00 match if that indeed was the case. I kinda hope it's not the same thing because, while no 8 woman the two leagues have right now could produce a match that awesome, without Manami Toyota & Momoe Nakanishi on the AJW side, it wouldn't even have a chance to be in the same ballpark. Toyota should be in the main event of this show instead of Takahashi, but instead they have her squashing undercarder Kayoko Haruyama in the semifinal.

Miyuki Fujii wrestled two singles matches, losing to both Yumiko Hotta & Kayo Noumi.

3/12:

3/12 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 1960
It seems like they are moving away from friendly relations and more toward AJW vs. JWP. Yumiko Hotta reformed her old U-TOPS unit of Kaoru Ito & Tomoko Watanabe & Kumiko Maekawa, defeating Dynamite Kansai & Ran Yu-Yu & Command Bolshoi & Carlos Amano in the main event when Hotta pinned Amano in her pyramid driver at 20:02.
The other match involving JWP was also interpromotional, with Azumi Hyuga & Kayoko Haruyama upsetting Manami Toyota & Miho Wakizawa when Azumi pinned Wakizawa at 19:14 following her enzui knee (destiny hammer).

Tomoko Watanabe & Kumiko Maekawa beat Manami Toyota & Miho Wakizawa at 17:51 when Maekawa pinned Wakizawa after her kakato otoshi.

3/4: Cachorras Escape

3/4 Kanagawa Yokohama Bunka Taiikukan 5,600 sellout
Mima Shimoda & Etsuko Mita defeated Tomoko Watanabe & Kumiko Maekawa in a Kanaami Death Match when they escaped the cage at 23:55. The highlight was after the 20 minute mark when Mita gave Watanabe something called getsumen suiboku (surface of the moon hydrogen bomb) off the cage, which was a four meter fall for Watanabe. Shimoda & Mita actually cried together after the match, and Shimoda said something like "I am not the World Of Kiss (referring to AJW's new singing act), from now on show the World Of Hell." This somewhat avenges their tag title loss to the said team on 12/8/99 and loss to Watanabe & Ito under the same rules on 9/21/97. LCO won't be satisfied until they regain the belts though, so there will be another rematch at some point.
Yumiko Hotta & Command Bolshoi & Takako Inoue beat Manami Toyota & Dynamite Kansai & Kaoru Ito when Hotta pinned Toyota in her pyramid driver at 19:52. Hotta had said she would retire if she didn't win this match, but she wasn't in danger because she secretly realigned herself with her U*TOPS pal Ito. Ito turned on Toyota to cause her to lose the match.
Dressed in silver costumes, Nanae Takahashi, Momoe Nakanishi, Miho Wakizawa, & Kayo Noumi made their first live performance as Kiss no Sekai, doing a song called Bakubaku Kiss. Their debut CD will be released on 5/24.
Unfortunately, Kana Mizaki still isn't ready to return to Nanae Takahashi teamed with Miyuki Fujii to lose to Lioness Asuka & Morimatsu. The finish came at 16:14 when Lioness used her LSD II on Fujii.
Azumi Hyuga & Miho Wakizawa & Kayo Noumi defeated Ran Yu-Yu & Carlos Amano & Acute Sae when Noumi pinned Sae in her doublewrist armsault at 17:37.
Kayoko Haruyama pinned Tsubasa in a nadare shiki no powerbomb at 10:58.
This attendance is really impressive because even though there were a lot of outsiders, it was a two match show at best since one of those was a six woman. Also, Watanabe never really drew even when she had Ito as her partner (she isn't much of a draw either, but she's well above Maekawa), and Maekawa has lost every tough match recently. I think this was definitely a case where the gimmick helped because they rarely ever use the cage, and pretty much every time they use it it's a memorable match. Since LCO vs. Watanabe and either Ito or Maekawa has always been an excellent match and the cage match was the best, that had to help as well.
The angle in the Hotta match was a good idea, especially with Toyota being the one to be pinned since she means the most and hasn't been doing any jobs recently. Hotta's side, which was awfully weak is not much improved, and there will be doubt for a while if someone else won't turn and defect to her side. I think Watanabe & Maekawa will probably join soon, which could lead to the league revolving around those who want friendly relations between AJW and JWP and those who don't. I would rather have seen them have the wrestlers get sick of being friendly after AJW vs. JWP had run it's course, but this will work as long as Hotta's side is strong. Hotta obviously hasn't become a good draw overnight by any means, but if they put enough emphasis on her antics to piss off the matchmaker(s) and those who just want to get along then their numbers will be consistently better than they have been even if Toyota vs. Hotta still isn't likely to draw this kind of house. With LCO not siding with either faction, they could be put in a program with members from either side once they regain the titles from Watanabe & Maekawa. It seems like these days LCO will draw well if they are in a big match on a major show, but otherwise they don't make a difference except when it comes to match quality.
My only complaint about this show is that it would have been a great time to elevate at least one of the younger wrestlers, but they didn't even try to do anything in the ring with them. Granted Momoe & Kana are still hurt, but they need to get Azumi, Lan, Amano, & Wakizawa more involved in the AJW & JWP vs. Hotta and co. angle. When GAEA ran their big shows last year, they had Meiko Satomura go over Aja on the first, which earned Satomura her first singles title shot on the second. Both matches went a lot way toward legitimizing her. AJW & JWP need to follow a similar route.

3/1:

3/1 Fukuoka Hakata Starlane 1,850 sellout
Nanae Takahashi won a tournament for the dormant Zen Nihon Senshuken. She upset Miho Wakizawa in the first round, pinning her with the Nana rocker at 13:18. In the final, she beat Miyuki Fujii with her Nana rocker in 9:55. Fujii had beaten Kayo Noumi in the first round with a German suplex hold at 11:58. Now that they have the JWP wrestlers on a lot of shows, AJW can bring back a few of the titles they had when their roster was twice it's current size. I'm glad Wakizawa didn't get the title because she should be above this level, but it's worse in the short run that she was in the tournament and couldn't win it. Wakizawa also was pinned in the main event where she teamed with Manami Toyota against ZAP I & T.
Yumiko Hotta made Kumiko Maekawa submit to her udehishigigyakujujigatame in a mere 5:10.

Miyuki Fujii lasted 15:26 before JWP champion Ran Yu-Yu took her out with her nadare shiki no blockbuster.
Nanae Takahashi pinned Kayoko Haruyama in a reverse splash at 10:36.

2/21: Cachorras Caged

The lineup for the 3/4 show at Kanagawa Yokohama Bunka Taiikukan is as follows:
Tomoko Watanabe & Kumiko Maekawa vs. Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda (both free) in a Kanaami (cage) Death Match. Maekawa isn't as good as Ito, but everyone will be fired up and they'll have an excellent or better match.
Manami Toyota & Dynamite Kansai (JWP) & Kaoru Ito vs. Yumiko Hotta & Command Bolshoi (JWP) & Takako Inoue (free). This isn't a surprise because it was set up on the 2/10 and 2/11 shows. They should have put someone young on Hotta's side instead of Bolshoi because Hotta's team essentially consists of two wrestlers that were never credible and aren't getting any younger. I assume Bolshoi will wind up getting pinned here, but if they want to go with this long term than Hotta's team should win.
Nanae Takahashi & Kana Mizaki vs. Lioness Asuka (free) & Morimatsu (Jd'). This won't be a good match unless Lioness & Kana put on a show, but isn't a bad matchup because the outcome is at least in doubt due to Morimatsu being below Takahashi & Wakizawa. Which team will win really depends on what Lioness has agreed to as far as making appearances in AJW.
Azumi Hyuga (JWP) & Miho Wakizawa & Kayo Noumi vs. Ran Yu-Yu & Carlos Amano & Acute Sae (JWP team). I would want to do more with Azumi, Wakizawa, Yu-Yu, and Carlos at this point. They don't run many big shows, so they don't have many opportunities to get the younger wrestlers over. They could use the result to set up something on a later show, but they'll probably just have Kayo or Sae get pinned and no one will care.
Miyuki Fujii vs. Kayoko Haruyama (JWP). Filler.
The "OPENING ACT" will be the debut piece of music from Kiss no Sekai (Kiss World), the new unit that consists of Nanae Takahashi, Momoe Nakanishi, Miho Wakizawa, & Kayo Noumi

2/19:

2/19 Yamaguchi Shuichi Min Taiikukan 960
ZAP I & T beat Manami Toyota & Miho Wakizawa in 15:21 when I used her diving footstomp on Wakizawa.
The third match was a JWP match, with Ran Yu-Yu beating Kayoko Haruyama in 11:08.

2/13:

5 of AJW's 11 applicants were accepted into AJW to be trained by the promotion. The 5 women that got far enough were put through the final test today. This test consisted of microphone appeal, karaoke examination, 50 squats, 30 abdominal muscle exercises, and a physical strength test. The promotion will begin training the new girls on 3/5.

2/12:

2/12 Gifu Odawara Hall 1,070
Manami Toyota & Tomoko Watanabe beat Yumiko Hotta & Nanae Takahashi when Watanabe used her screw driver on Takahashi at 17:09.
ZAP I downed Miho Wakizawa with a Ligerbomb at 14:16.

2/11/00:

Yumiko Hotta is trying to form a group opposed to AJW & JWP working together in a friendly fashion. Hotta asked her opponents in today's match, Takako Inoue & Command Bolshoi, to join her group. This is good because it would allow them to do a kind of interpromotional feud without it being AJW vs. JWP. I still think AJW vs. JWP would have drawn better, but this gives them the opportunity to position the wrestlers from both leagues anywhere they want. It looks like it could turn out to be Manami Toyota & Dynamite Kansai's group against Hotta & Takako.

2/11 Tokyo Korakuen Hall 2,030 sellout
As expected, Azumi Hyuga became the 38th holder of the All Pacific Senshuken when she beat Kumiko Maekawa with a kubigatame at 16:18. Maekawa had made 3 successful defenses. Basically, AJW & JWP traded the tag belts for the secondary singles belt. Whether Azumi getting the All Pacific is good or not depends on your perspective. It's like going from holding the WCW World Heavyweight Title to the WWF Intercontinental Title, except that all the titles are actually mean something in Japan (or at least they act like they do). It means that she's not a top player against AJW like she was within JWP, but that she has the potential to be built to that level. Since she had no credibility on top outside of JWP, it's not the kind of step down that you might think, but it means that AJW probably isn't considering anyone from JWP other than Dynamite Kansai as a top player.
In the main event, Manami Toyota & Dynamite Kansai & Kaoru Ito beat Ran Yu-Yu & Carlos Amano & Miho Wakizawa in 21:52 when Ito used her diving footstomp on Amano. I don't see the benefit in Ito pinning Amano today after they were smart enough to not have her do it yesterday. Considering Amano doesn't have that much credibility against Ito, having Ito defeat her team two days in a row only makes the gap wider, thus making it harder to get people to buy into anything else between the two.
Tomoko Watanabe & Nanae Takahashi vs. Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda was a double ring out at 19:26. Kumiko Maekawa kept interfering in this match when they'd brawl around the arena to set up Watanabe & Maekawa vs. Mita & Shimoda.
The burying of Kayo Noumi is now official. Today, even with the legendary Devil Masami on her side, she failed to defeat the lowly team of Tsubasa Kuragaki & Acute Sae. Sae once again went over, defeating Noumi in 11:48 with a kubigatame. I have no idea why they are pushing Sae because she's shorter than Bolshoi and about 1/50th the wrestler. As bad as Noumi is, she's better than Sae and if they had half a clue they could make a lot of money off her looks.
In the opener, Command Bolshoi & Takako Inoue beat Yumiko Hotta & Miyuki Fujii. To the surprise of no one, Fujii was the one that was pinned by Takako at 13:42 following an uraken.
