Los Boricuas: Pierroth Jr. (C) & The Killer & Violencia
vs.
Los Capos: Gran Markus Jr. (C) & Mascara Ano Dos Mil & Poder Mexica

1) Los Boricuas were immediately disqualified for Pierroth’s insistence on using a metal rod. The fact that nobody but him was in the ring and he didn’t actually use it as a weapon didn’t matter; his affinity for aluminum led to his team being in the hole 1-0.

2) La raza beat up Pierroth to start this fall and, of course, he blew up immediately. He also bladed after some horrible looking punches from Dos Mil. After a brief interlude with Violencia getting pounded, Los Capos went back to slapping around Pierroth who mercifully tapped to a Markus crab. As usual, this was an atrocious mess as their feud is just a möbius strip. 6:47

Virus vs. Fuerza Guerrera

God only knows why they trimmed this match to show the garbage that preceded it. However, this didn’t get off to a great start either. We came in to see Virus mess up Sayama’s old feint by catching the middle rope between his legs, but they were near flawless as the action progressed. Big move after big move, kicked off with an armdrag off the top by Virus. Fuerza retaliated with a hangman’s noose into a dominator, but after a two count Virus caught him on the turnbuckles. Virus put a big hole in Fuerza’s mask, but Sr. Juice replied with a powerslam off the middle rope. Guerrera then followed with a nice combo of a hiptoss over the top to the floor and a between ropes dropkick. Unfortunately for him, he missed a flip dive off the apron and made a loud splat on the floor. But Virus let up on him, and once Fuerza got back in the ring he regained control. He got a couple of more two counts, but Virus was able to hook him in a tequila sunrise for the apparent finish. In this case apparent means it didn’t actually happen as the heel ref pulled the newest tecnico off Fuerza. Guerrera then shoved Virus into the ref and caught him with some roll shambo and a fast 3 count. Good match but Virus didn’t have near the face heat that he received on last week’s show when los Guerreras turned on him leading to this match. What aired was continuous and lasted 7:42.

Tarzan Boy (C) & Rey Bucanero & Dr. Wagner Jr.
vs.
Atlantis (C) & Negro Casas & Mr. Niebla

1) Crazy action here as they brawled all over the arena for the first eight or so minutes. Los Guerreros y Doc dominated the opening 7 minutes by totally overwhelming the good guys. At separate points Tarzan and then Doc ran down Casas on the house mic as they pounded him. This led to Casas getting fired up and finally mounting some offense of his own. Los tecs gained the first fall as Wagner tapped to a spinning backbreaker by the lost city and Niebla tied up Rey for the tap.

2) This was fast paced and wild as well as Rey y Tarzan worked and bumped their asses off. The King Buccaneer took two sick bumps to the floor by way of Niebla’s dancing feet sending him over the top rope and corner post. After the second, Casas caught Tarzan with a drop toe hold followed by la magistral for the clean sweep. Very good match, but the second fall being half as long as the first was kinda disappointing since they were really going strong when match ended (almost) out of nowhere. 15:42

Vampiro vs. Ultimo Guerrero

Pretty good match with lots of big spots by both. Dragged down a bit by Vamp’s occasional sloppiness (including possibly the worst looking corner huracanrana ever). Ultimo was solid however, and able to carry Vamp very well. Guerrero also threw out some great counters including a reverse armbar out of a uranage attempt by Vamp for a great near submission. Vamp won with a good counter of his own as he turned a short arm scissors into a pin attempt. Ultimo kicked out, but Vamp turned it into a submission of his own. Guerrero was still on the mat as Vamp quickly locked Ultimo’s arm behind his own head and then pulled his head into his chest while barring the right arm for the give up in 10:05.

Latin Lover & Heavy Metal & Gronda & Alebrije & Cuije
vs.
Cibernetico & Abismo Negro & Drako & Monster & Chucky

1) Weak first fall as most of the guys just stood around trying to stay out of the way. Alebrijie did the job to give los rudos the first fall as Cibernetico y Monster pinned him following a Cibernetico clothesline and dual elbow drops.

2) Los tecs rallied to capture a tie here as Alebrijie y Cujie double pinned their nemeses Chucky y Monster. Cujie nailed Monster with a senton off the top and then Chucky landed a running senton on Monster as Alebrijie pulled his little buddy off. Then they both covered Chucky before he could get up. Seconds later Lover pinned Abismo with la majistral and Metal rolled up Cibernetico for another 3.

3) Pretty good fall that saved an otherwise bad match. Solid work from Abismo (as always), Lover, and Metal and the usual brilliance of Cujie and Chucky was enough to rescue a match that went way too long. Eventually Metal turned on Lover, who was in the middle of pinning Abismo with a powerbomb which caused Metal to get DQ’d and in the process give his team the win. If it’s that easy to win in AAA then why doesn’t everyone do it?

Mexican National Tag Titles:
La Parka & Mascara Segrada
vs.
Electroshock & Chessman

1) Decent work that was slowed by an indecent amount of stalling. Early on, a lot of focus was put on Lady Apache being in the front row which is what we call a plot point. As the fall progressed she got into a shouting match with Electroshock, which of course guaranteed that she would be involved in the finish. But in order for that to happen at least one fall would have to be counted, and it was as Mascara tapped Electroshock to a version of the Koji clutch, much to the chagrin of the heel ref Raul Salazar.

2) Very short fall with Parka counting the lights following a top rope rana by Electroshock and a frog splash by Chessman. He almost landed on his feet but managed to get his legs up in time to land flush on Parka for the checkmate. Mascara then fell victim to a leg drop off the top by Chessman for another pin which wasn’t needed, but part of the fun of being bad is being self indulgent.

3) Chessman y Electroshock started off with some passable matwork, but then remembered their Viper ways and brought chairs back into the fray. On the outside Electro slapped Apache, which enabled Parka to turn the tide. However, he quickly washed ashore as Salazar refused to let Los Vipers lose and didn’t put 3 on the tree. Apache’s run in then left Parka 4 on the floor after the chair she threw at Shock hit the chair Parka was holding and he sold it like the two chairs even came close to hitting his face. Electo then shocked Apache with a kiss that don’t miss and hit a standing senton on Parka to retain the titles. 17:07
