Los Barrios Boys & Pegasso (Billy Boy captain)
vs.
Chessman (C) & Black Family

1) Billy Boy came out in an old Flyers road jersey, but that didn’t stop los rudos from rushing over him and company. Brawling around ringside with the highlight being a flip senton off the apron by Scoria on Decnis. Pegasso’s mask was torn early on, but on top off his head so it didn’t show any of his face. Scoria pinned Alan after a horrible looking moonsault off the second rope. He then then put away Decnis with a better looking one off the top. For better measure Billy Boy was pinned after a flying legdrop by Chessman.

2) Los Barrios recovered shortly after the start here throwing down something awful with their skateboards. Billy Boy hit a super huracanrana on Chessman then Pegasso y Alan came off opposite corners with splashes (Alan’s a frog) to quickly capture the fall.

3) They finally went to tag rules here and Billy Boy started off with a nice face jam on The Man They Don’t Call Sting. Crazy spot followed shortly with triple simultaneous dives to the outside by Los Barrios. Inside, Pegasso went to put Scoria away with la magistral but Cuervo roll shamboed him. Alan then ran in and punted Scoria to enable Pegasso to pin and win him. Better than the usual AAA brawlfest, but a serious let-down that Pegasso was grounded except for the closing spot in la segunda caida. 10:16.

Campeonato Nacional Completo:
Latin Lover (Campeon) vs. Hector Garza (Retador)

1) They actually had a really good fall here, as they decided to wrestle instead of stall and brawl. The main storyline was that neither could get the advantage due to counters and reversals. Lover finally caught Garza in a forward roll that he turned into a Koji clutch (of sorts) for the tap.

2) Airfare to start here. Lover dropped Garza y Chessman (Garza’s second) with a flip dive. Then Garza checkmated his buddy with a moonsault that Latin avoided. Back in the ring, Lover tapped to some cool looking submission by Garza that rudo ruler Luis Salazar refused to let Lover out of until he was good and ready to call for the whistle. Basically Garza put Latin’s legs in a figure four position and then fell to the mat and bridged Lover’s legs in the air while driving his foot into Lover’s back.

3) Chessman interfered early here so Decnis (Lover’s second) took him out with a suicida. Lover then mistakenly bumped Mr. Salazar with a weak dropkick. In a case of reverse booking, Garza attempted a couple of pins during this time. When Salazar regained himself Lover rolled up Garza for a nice near fall with a naughty slow count. The finish saw a Ligerbomb by Lover that Salazar decided not to count. From behind Latin, Chessman made the 3 and Lover got up to celebrate. Some roll shambo by Hector and a fast count by the coolest ref ever gave us a new champion. Match wasn’t great, but was much better match than I was hoping for as this was a rare occasion where Garza decided to actually make an effort. Maybe he should be gunning for a title everytime out. 12:26

Lucha En Juala:
Gronda & Mascara Sagrada & Mr. Aguila & Zorro
vs.
Mascara Maligna & Head Hunter & Canek & Abismo Negro

We came in just after they did, and less than a minute in Mascara Maligna was the first one out. Sagrada was at the top of the cage with him, but decided to plancha Headhunter in a cool spot, which was accentuated by the fact that his head was nearly touching the building’s ceiling. He escaped a minute later though, and was followed 2/3 of a minute later by Gronda. Canek avoided an Aguila moonsault that wound up dropping Zorro and was able to escape as a result of this. Spider Abismo then floored Head Hunter with a ladder shot that missed Aguila, and Aguila rung Abismo and Zorro with the helicopter ladder spot. Looked bad though as he stood around with it over his neck for awhile before Abismo finally dropkicked him. Aguila almost left moments later though as Gronda stopped Luis from doing his rudo ref best to interfere, but instead Aguila grabbed the ceiling beams and hit a sick flip dive onto Hunter. Deservingly so he then escaped leaving Zorro, Hunter, y Spiderman. Zorro evened the odds quickly and briefly though by powerbombing Abismo thru a table. SAN again caught Hunter by mistake and then took Hunter’s Iron Shiekesque boot to the head after breaking a wooden beam over Zorro. Being the helacool guy he is, AN escaped by scaling the cage like the superhero he is leaving Hunter on his own with Zorro. By this point the wall opposite the hard camera was coming down hard and Zorro was unable to escape over it. Canek & Gronda nearly brought it down on top of themselves and the first row as they were trying to stop and start Zorro’s attempt to bail. Finally, Zorro went up and over the other side to give the Head Hunter the loss. Pretty good match (especially considering how horrible AAA cage matches usually are) with Aguila nearly crashing head first into a table while jumping onto Hunter being the serious highlight. 11:11
