EMLL
Taped Arena Coliseo, D.F.

Veneno & Violencia & Nitro
vs.
Felino & Safari & Olimpico

The first fall was a total squash in favor of the rudos. They just annihilated the faces and pinned Felino in under a minute after a rolling senton by Veneno.

Los technicos recovered after a beating to start the second fall to control the main body of it (as short as it was). They all looked good and eventually had Los Boriquas in a position to lose, as Safari caught Nitro with a dropkick off the top and covered him while Felino had Veneno rolled up after a rana. Unfortunately, for them neither of the two refs bothered counting, apparently favoring Puerto Rico over Mexico. After an EMLL official came out they suddenly changed their minds and awarded the fall to Felino and co. who were being pounded at this point.

After a long argument outside between the extraneous Boriquas and the EMLL brass, they were eliminated from ringside. The third fall finally began and Gran Markus immediately did a run-in and destroyed Veneno and tore his mask. The match just ended here without an official winner being named, but los technicos celebrated in the ring anyway.

Juventud Guerrera & Fuerza Guerrera & Shocker & Blue Panther
vs.
Atlantis & Black Warrior & Mascara Magica & Mr. Niebla

Primera Caida began with mass hysteria dominated by los rudos. Warrior had the top of his mask torn, exposing most of his face, but instead of panning wide the camera kept coming in on him. Fuerza hit a splash mountain, but declined a cover continuing the fall. Eventually Warrior was disqualified for totally unmasking Shocker, who wound up laying prone and face down on the mat for several moments and Los technicos proceeded to pound him leading into the second fall.

Segunda Caida was much more even with everyone still involved, trading off between brawling in the ring and up the ramp. After a block of ads we came back in time to see Magica hit Panther with a moonsault. However, this didn’t stop Panther from tearing up Warrior’s mask again. After Magica got exposed a bit as well, they finally settled the match down. After the Guerrera’s each logged some time, Shocker caught Warrior with an unseen (by the refs) push off into a low blow and then followed it with a Michinoku driver II for the sweep. Good match, but a little too hectic over the first half.

AAA
Taped Salamanca, GTO

Mini Psicosis & Rocky Marvin & Abismo Negro Jr. (captain)
vs.
La Parkita & Octagoncito & Mascarita Segrada (captain)

During the intros, Parkita & Psicosis did a little dance that I found pretty amusing but Abismo didn’t. Mascarita won a quick first fall with a standing armbar on the prone Abismo. They were fairly sloppy here (and throughout the rest of the match) as during this fall Psicosis wasn’t in the proper position to bump for Segrada, who came off the top to the floor with an armdrag so Segrada landed hard on the floor and Psicosis wound up bumping late on it. Parkita also missed a double dropkick on Marvin and Negro, who somewhat sold it anyway.

The second fall was also plagued by problems and was mainly dominated by the heels. Negro caught Parkita in a modified bow and arrow for the tap and Marvin caught Segrada with a modified sunset flip to wrap up the fall.

Finishing up, the third fall was the cleanest and best. Highlights were a Parkita moonsault off the top to the floor on Psicosis and a corkscrew moonsault to the floor by Octagoncito on Negro. Following these spots Segrada tried a springboard huracanrana on Marvin, but Rocky rolled thru on it and got the pin for the 2-1 win. In the end it was good, but the lack of solid execution pulled it down a bit.

Mascara Segrada & Alebrije & Cuije & Octagon (captain)
vs.
Monster & Psicosis & Chucky & Pentagon (captain)
Taped CD. Madero, TAMPS

Los rudos dropped the first fall almost immediately, as they were disqualified for stomping Octagon while Psicosis held him up after cleaning house on the rest of the faces. After the replay, they cut to the floor where Octagon was bleeding while Pentagon was tearing at his mask. My guess is that he bladed on the floor after the DQ because nobody was going at his head in the ring.

Jon Gruden Jr. and Psicosis started working over Cujie and Segrada with a steel chair as the second fall officially began. After Chucky took some shots to the butt and did a little hop and dance, they finally settled down into a non-tornado situation. Los techinicos dominated the solid action and the fall. The match culminated with Cuije giving Chucky a rana in the center of a star and before a count could be made Monster tore off Alebrije’s mask. Alebrije hit the floor and stayed there forever with his face down and then after some run-ins on the technico side everyone just started walking back to the locker room except Octagon, who just celebrated in the ring. Very confusing non finish to a decent match.

Lucha En Juada, Caera Una Cabellera:
Los Diaboliquos
vs.
Los Barrio Boys

They went back and forth for a couple of minutes using chairs and skateboards. Billy and Gallego were the first ones to escape, as Gallego followed him up and over the cage. At the same time on another side of the cage, Mr. Condor made like Stallone and went Over The Top as well leaving Angel Mortal down 2-1 vs. the faces. After about 20 seconds, Alan joined them and Dennis Green on the high road and left Mortal vs. the last Barrio, Decnis, fighting to stay away from the razor. By this point Decnis was pouring pretty heavy and, as the rules allowed, everyone who left rejoined the party. In the spot of the match, Billy did a crossbody off the top of the cage onto everyone in the ring. Then they quickly went to a cool finish of Alan and Billy escaping once again and then Decnis being the rope in a tug of war between los rudos and the cage. Alan poked at Los D enabling Decnis to escape and save his hair. This left Condor, Gallego, and Mortal in the cage and fighting each other to get out. Angel was the odd man in and wound up getting shaved. In a spot reminiscent of Toyota vs. Yamada from 8/15/92 (but not remotely as dramatic), Condor offered his hair instead of his fallen partner’s, but it was to no avail and Angel had most of his hair shaved in the ring. This was seriously quick, and therefore wild but not overly good except the great finish.
