Jd' TOGETHER '98 1ST ALL STAR WOMEN'S WRESTLING IN ARIAKE
Commercial Tape 12/26/98 Tokyo Ariake Coliseum (5800)

There are two ways of looking at this show. On one hand, it was the best collection women's talent we saw in 1998, and seemed to be one of the better shows. On the other hand, the show was not as good in actuality as it looked on paper, and even if it was, the multipromotional of years past still would have smoked it like a cheap cigar.

This was not as bad, but as far as Jd' was concerned, it reminded me of the 11/29/98 AJW show in a lot of ways. Jd' was the host and they got the fans to come by putting Jaguar's retirement match on this show instead of one that was Jd' only. However, they were repaid by one key loss after another. It's not like their future didn't look bad enough with one of their two stars retiring, but their new stars, Kosugi, Bloody, & Sakai all lost their matches, with two of the three getting pinned. The original plan may have been for Devil Masami to beat Jaguar in exchange for Lioness Asuka beating Dynamite Kansai. This would have been a good scenario for Jd' because Kansai is above Devil and Jaguar is retiring anyway, so her losing is not that important. Well, that is if you can look beyond the fact that it's pathetic for the queen of women's wrestling to lose her retirement match, especially when it's to the old wrestler that should be retiring.
