Zen Nihon Tag Oza Ketteisen:
Momoe Nakanishi & Nanae Takahashi
vs.
Megumi Yabushita & Sumie Sakai (Jd' team)

This was as good a match as you could expect from these four. They have better matches against women from their own league than they had here, but that's because they are much more familiar with them. In this match, the lack of familiarity was really apparent because they had to really telegraph certain spots so the opponent would know how to react. They also lack polish and experience, but that problem doesn't even register in this particular match when compared to the lack of familiarity. That said, Momoe's move set has probably expanded too much because too many of her flying moves aren't perfectly executed. This is hurting the quality of her matches even though they are more glamorous.

The match started off slow with a beginning that was surprisingly solid, mainly because Sakai & Yabushita focused their submission attack on a body part. The highlight of this portion was Takahashi really putting over Sakai's ankle lock until Momoe made the desperation save with a dropkick. They did a lot of nice moves, but the execution could have been better. The crowd got into the match after 15:00, but it was more popping for the spots than any kind of sustained heat. Everyone did dives. From 17:00 on, they did all their big moves for several near falls. The highlight was Yabushita doing nadare shiki no )ipponzeio to an udehishigigyakujujigatame, which looked like the finish, but Momoe went nuts punching Yabushita until she broke the hold. Takahashi eventually pinned Yabushita after a reverse body press off the middle rope. NanaMomo became 25 AJ Tag champions. An exciting match with a lot of nice spots, but very flawed execution wise.

Miko: Not a bad match, but for some reason I just could not get into it. The match started off slow, but turned into a fast-paced match. It was a little sloppy in places, and not just because they have not worked together that often. The match had no heat, but the fans did occassionaly pop for the moves. My favorite spot was Jd's Judo girls getting Momo in a double jujigatame, which looked cool.
