Erika Watanabe & The Goddess
Chikako Shiratori (Free) vs. Kanako Motoya & Yasuko Kuragaki |

The Goddess vs. Motoya!!! The problem with starting my review that way is that I can only go downhill from here. This was one of The Goddess' best performances. She has really found her calling as a heel. Of course, one of the reasons she looked good was that she pretty much only worked against Kanako. Well, then again she would really look good if she only worked against Kuragaki, just in a different respect. Anyway, the problem with Shiratori being paired with Motoya was that meant Watanabe was paired with Kuragaki. Thus, the match went way downhill when the young wrestlers came in. On one hand, all the good that Shiratori & Kanako did was negated by all the bad Watanabe & Kuragaki did, but the opposite is also true, so the match was average overall. The wrestling was pretty basic even when Shiratori and Motoya were in. That's actually a good thing when Shiratori is involved though because her liabilities are quickly exposed when anything complex is attempted. The highlight of the match was not basic though, as it was a series of la magistral counters by Shiratori & Motoya where one would roll through and do the move right back to the other, but she would roll through and try a la magistral of her own. Kanako put the opposition's offense over well. Toward the finish, Shiratori & Kanako had a cool little battle where they tried to hold each other off back and forth as their young partners would try to end the match. Finally, Kuragaki pinned Watanabe. Me want Shiratori vs. Motoya singles match, but of course we'll never get it because there might even be some interest in that and it would mean one of them would actually win a match. Miko: I'm liking Shiratori more and more as a heel. She's still not a great worker, but she seems to have more fun as a heel and it helps cover up her weaknesses. Kuragaki looks ok for her level of experience and has some moves, but Watanabe still is not showing me much of anything. Special Thanks to: Miko Kubota - Michiku Pro 19:30 (12:18 aired)
