KANAKO OCTOBER ROAD TWO:
Etsuko Mita vs. Kanako Motoya (JWP)

Just when you thought it was going to be another lousy Neo show, these two turned things around with a match that was better than you'd expect. Even though Kana was working in Neo and Mita had "nothing to gain," Mita still did her job. She put Motoya over and *gasp* even made it look like she had the match won on occasion. The match got off to a slow start, but this portion still had good solid wrestling. Mita was getting the best of it, but she gave Motoya enough to keep it interesting and competitive. Really, when it came to style and build, it looked like any number of singles matches Mita had against a star in AJW. While that isn't necessary a good thing, it certainly bad.

Motoya was really fired up, and was actually the one who started brawling. She got most of her offense in after 12:30, so it seemed like she did better overall than she really did. Despite the quality of the work and the fact that Motoya "had a chance," the match had as much heat as the Mankind vs. Rock match that aired on Halftime Heat.

Mita did her nadare shiki no piggy back drop for a near fall at 15:15 then tried for her Death Valley bomb, but Motoya escaped. Mita then tried a powerbomb, but Kanako turned it into the 2 kaiten ebigatame (Toyota roll) for a near fall. Motoya also got near falls with her la magistral and a sunset flip powerbomb. Mita came back and broke the LCO chair over Motoya's head then delivered her new Death Valley wrap, which is the same as the Death Valley bomb except she locks the opponents hands with her left arm before scooping them up, for the win.

Miko: I was really unimpressed by this match. For the first 15:00, Mita didn't seem into the match at all. Maybe she was sick or something because she showed no energy or spirit. Kanako tried, but there was only so much she could do. The last five minutes were better, as Mita finally came alive and started working a little. It should have been a lot better than it was though.
