Rieko Amano vs. Kanako Motoya | |
This was another 30:00 Amano match, luckily under the typical rules. Of course, since I actually wouldn't have minded seeing the whole thing, they showed less than 1/3 of the 30:00 draw. Amano carried the match, and looked better than she had the past few months because her opponent was more capable of wrestling her style. Not only was she able to adapt to Amano's style well, but all the time Kanako put in since the October show has payed off because she also showed good submission knowledge. This appeared to be a good match overall. My main gripe was that the sequence leading up to the double knock down needed to be stiffer to believably attain the desired effect. Miko: The theme of this match was submissions, with Amano working Motoya's taped up knee and Motoya working on Amano's arm. I like both wrestlers, but this match did not do a lot for me. They didn't seem to work up to the submissions, and not much variety was shown. Special Thanks to: Miko Kubota - Michiku Pro 30:00 (8:52 aired)
