1/23/98 Kanagawa Kawasaki Shi Taiikukan (2,900) Eagle Sawai & Michiko Nagashima (LLPW/Heisei Guren-tai team) vs. Kanako Motoya & Tomoko Miyaguchi |
|
Nagashima was easily the best of these four. This was a good, fast-paced match when she was in. On the other hand, it was a very one-sided match when Eagle was in. I understand that Eagle needs to maintain her aura, but this was one-sided to the point it was a detriment to the match. Eagle, of course, scored the pin, taking Miyaguchi out with a high angle powerbomb. 13:48 (8:07 aired) James: Nagashima, Miyaguchi and Motoya were good, but Eagle really dragged it down by either no-selling or barely selling. This prevented the match from going above the ** range. I was surprised to see Miyaguchi pinned. It shows how much better LLPW is at booking their wrestlers in other promotions than in their own. Michael: Mike is being kind to Eagle here, as she totally wrecked this match, which isn't exactly a first for her. Special Thanks to: Michael Smith & James Phillips - Japanese Womens Wrestling 13:48 (8:07 aired)
