The typical fast-paced, all action AJW match. As always,it was exciting, but the selling was not good at all. Still, the pace really picked up as time went on, so you can't really complain about the hyper action. "I couldn't even breathe without something happening," wrote Keith. On one hand, the match needed to last longer because I'd rather see
some build to the really fast action, and even if there isn't much build,
10 ½ minutes is still really short for an AJW spotfest. On the
other hand, the shorter length was good because these women were still
learning. In fact, they were quite limited at this time, so it allowed
them to look good without exposing their weaknesses to the average fan.
James: This was a pretty good match. Compared to what they would develop, Mita, Shimoda, Yoshida and Ito all had limited moves sets. Since nobody stayed in the ring for any length of time, it never became repetitive. Jason: This match was all fast paced work from the start. The moves were very well executed, but at this pace they had no meaning. The only sequence that meant anything was when Ito worked over Yoshida's shoulder/arm. However, this had nothing to do with the finish and was only done to kill time. The finish was Mita using a inverted piledriver on Ito. It came out of nowhere and didn't even look good because Takahashi and Kamiya, who weren't being held, didn't even save Ito.
